Greetings!

It’s been sometime since I’ve last updated but hey, we’re back! A lot have been happening behind the scenes this past week.  It’s been a crazy, sleepless-night filled week, what with the whole music-making, photo-taking and graphic-designing. Tiring, but very fun nonetheless.

We’ve finally roped in the final member to complete the holy pentagon (Pentagons are 8-sided, aren’t they?). Azrael will helm the video side of things, along with Jay-One. He’s pretty much well-versed in a lot of other areas as well so it’s good to have him on board.

And let me introduce the rest of the boys while I’m at it.

Overseeing the whole running of the project is Rauzan Rahman. He’s the dude behind the music. The dude guilty of making your heads nod, feet tap and body shake involuntarily at gigs. He’s mean behind the mic too, having 2 albums behind his name. Alongside that, he manages theCrazy88. (Hello, Boss.)

blanks:36 (Yasin Rahim) is the man responsible for all the photographs. He pretty much lets his camera do the talking and they are gorgeous words, I tell you! And he is also the man responsible for The Mammoth Shoot. That gathering of local Hip-Hop Enthusiasts at The Supreme Court. You can catch him wheezing by you on his Fixie.

Complementing him is Modus (Suhaimi Romey). He’s nifty with Photoshop and Illustrator and all the graphics and logos you see were conceived on his Mac. Quiet and assertive, Modus moonlights as a Romeo.

Jay-One (Syed Al-Haffiz) is the face of the Backroom Boys. A rapper himself, he’ll be going around with a DVcam to ask you questions relating to theCrazy88 and music in general. Making occasional appearances on tracks, he is also the unofficial ‘Morale-Booster’ dude of the88.

Rounding it all up is Zaki Razalo (Zaki Razali). Having done time with local band Peepshow, his experience in the local music circuit will be of much help for the88. Oh he croons pretty well too, judging from his latest track, Y.OU (Feat. Ishmael).

So yeah.. It’s been a productive week and I am very excited at the coming one! Do drop by again for I’ll be updating this site with more frequency. I hope you’ve had as much fun reading as I’ve had writing this.

Till Then,

Ishmael.
